I was born May 6, 1972 and raised in Knoxville, Tn. I attended high school at Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Ga., but returned to Knoxville after High School to earn my Associate’s Degree in business from the University of Tennessee. GO VOLS! About the time I earned a degree, I changed gears and decided to pursue culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, SC. I again returned home and began working for Club Corp International as their executive sous chef at club LeConte. Obviously, I have changed my career path once again. My family has always been in the real estate business. My father, Jim Miller has successfully been in the business for more than 50 years now. My mother and mentor at Gatlinburg Real Estate, Tee Miller has been in it for over 20 years. So really, it was just a matter of time before I was drawn into it too. I obtained my real estate license in January 2007 and have been newly welcomed as a realtor at Gatlinburg Real Estate. I married my wife Amy on March 11, 2005 (she says this is where I should add, “my best life changing decision so far”). We have 3 dogs: Texas, Blue, and Jake. When not at work, you can usually find me camping, boating, fishing, hunting or just generally doing something in the great outdoors. That is actually another major contributor why I have been drawn to the real estate business, especially since I’m getting to do it in the beautiful Smoky Mountains! |
