Born on December 15, 1967 and raised across the street from Pi Beta Phi Elementary School where I attended. I grew up in Gatlinburg around the tourism industry in a modest home that adjoined a Motel my father, Doyle Dixon managed for over forty years. When I wasn't entertaining Motel guests I would be working for my mother, Bobby Montgomery in her Deli downtown.
After graduating in 1986, at Gatlinburg Pittman High School, I joined the United States Air Force. My four and a half years of enlistment gave me the opportunity to travel all over the world, including tours in Haiti, Panama, Iceland, England, Germany, and Saudi Arabia (Desert Strom). While enlisted I received my Associates Degree in Aerospace Engineering, qualified as an Air Traffic Controller, Aerospace and Airborne Warning Controller. Before being Honorably discharged I achieved the rank of Sergeant.
After the service I resided in Denver, Colorado, where I attended Colorado University pursuing Business and Finance. In 1993, I returned to Gatlinburg to work for my mother at Gatlinburg Real Estate and Rental Co., Inc. I started in reservations and in 1994 earned my Affiliate Brokers license and began selling Real Estate. In 1998, I married Elizabeth Tampas. We have three children, Brittanee, Xristina, and Kathryn. We attend St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Knoxville, TN. I received my brokers license in 2000 and on October 6, 2001, purchased Gatlinburg Real Estate and also became the Principal Broker.
